Errabalu Chetty Street is always crowded and busy, which is just part of the charm of being in Parrys. We have been here at General Pumps Pvt Ltd for quite a while now. The shop is at Old No 20, though the new number is 24, which sometimes confuses delivery drivers who aren't from around here. Most people just know the building anyway because it has been here so long. It gets very loud outside with all the traffic and people shouting, but we are used to it and don't really notice anymore. We deal with all sorts of pumps every single day. Some people come in looking for small ones for their houses, and others need bigger setups for their business. We just try to help them find what they need and get them on their way as quickly as we can. It’s a lot of talking to customers and checking the stock in the back room. Sometimes the paperwork piles up on the old wooden desk, but that's just how it goes when you're busy with people. We don't have a fancy showroom with bright lights or anything like that. It is just a regular place where we work and talk to the regulars who have been coming to us for years. You’ll usually find one of us behind the counter or over by the metal shelves checking part numbers. Parrys is a tough place to park, so most people just walk over from the station. We like being in this part of town. It is a straightforward business, and we just handle the orders and make sure people get their pumps fixed.
