Being on the high road means it’s always busy with trucks and bikes passing by our front door. Our place is pretty straightforward. We make food products and pack them right here. We have a small team of people who have been with us for a long time. The address is easy to find if you know Rapid Nagar. We don't have any fancy signs or a big lobby. It's just a workspace with some tables and the equipment we need. Sometimes the dust from the road comes inside, so we are always cleaning the counters. We started Gaga Food Products because we wanted to do something local in Gerugambakkam. We don't use any corporate language or have a big mission statement. We just show up every morning and start making the products. Some days are better than others, especially when the electricity stays on all day. We do our own loading into the small vans that come by for deliveries. It’s a noisy place because of the traffic, but we are used to it by now. We know the local shopkeepers nearby and we often share news over a cup of tea. It’s a honest way to make a living and we plan to stay here at this address for a long time.
