Our address is 2 Ayyan Thiruvalluvar Street in Chennai. We are Foxconn India Pvt Ltd. The street is named after the famous poet, which is a nice touch. It is a narrow street and parking is always a bit of a nightmare. Most of us just park further away and walk in. The building is simple and doesn't stand out much. We have a small room where we keep all our supplies and another where the desks are squeezed in. It’s a bit of a tight fit but we make it work. The pincode says 14001 but that seems a bit off for Chennai, though that’s what is on the documents. We just follow what the paper says. The days are pretty much the same. We come in, check what needs to be done, and get to it. There’s a small shop nearby where we get snacks in the evening. The walls could use a new coat of paint but we haven't gotten around to it yet. We are too busy with the actual work. It’s a very grounded atmosphere. We don't use big words or have long meetings about nothing. We just sit at 2 Ayyan Thiruvalluvar Street and do our jobs until it is time to go home. That is the reality of Foxconn India Pvt Ltd here. It’s a plain and honest way to work.
