Emco Mechatronics

You can find Emco Mechatronics over on Thambu Chetty Street. The building is number 255, though some people still know it by the old number, 124. It’s one of those busy streets where you have to watch your step because there’s always something happening. Our place is a mix of mechanical stuff and electronics, which is what mechatronics is all about. It’s not just simple wrenches and hammers here; there are wires and boards too. We’ve been at this location for a good while. The stairs are a bit narrow and the rooms are packed with equipment and boxes. Sometimes it feels a bit crowded, but we know where everything is kept. Dealing with these kinds of parts requires a steady hand and a bit of focus. It isn’t the kind of work you can rush through. Thambu Chetty Street has a lot of history, and we feel like a small part of it now. We don't have a front desk with a receptionist or anything like that. Usually, you’ll just find one of us sitting at a desk covered in components or testing a motor. We just open up in the morning, get through the list of tasks, and close up when the light starts to fade. It’s a straightforward way to earn a living, and we like the technical side of the things we handle every day.
