We are located at 16/35 Ramaswamy Street in the Ayanavaram area of Chennai. The pin code is 600 023, and it is a typical old Chennai neighborhood with narrow streets and lots of life. Our building is nothing special to look at, just a regular place where we’ve set up our software business. The street outside can get quite narrow, so parking is always a bit of a nightmare if you are driving a car. Most of us just come by bike or use the local buses. Inside Firstware Software Solutions, it’s mostly just rows of computers and a lot of tangled cables under the desks. It gets quite humid here, as you’d expect in Chennai, so we keep the AC running as much as we can. We aren't a big, fancy IT firm with bean bags and game rooms. We just have our chairs, our screens, and a small area to keep our lunch bags. There is a small tea shop just a few steps away where we go when we need a break from staring at code. The neighbors are mostly families who have lived in Ayanavaram for generations, so it feels like a very grounded place to work. We spend our hours fixing bugs and writing new programs, often staying a bit late if something needs to get finished. It is a quiet, steady kind of life here on Ramaswamy Street.
