Facom

Facom is based over here at No.3, Moudha Ibrahim Salai. We're right in the Nagalkeni area of Chromepet. It’s a place where everyone seems to be doing something related to trade or manufacturing. We also have a presence at 20, Thomas Nagar in Little Mount, so we're moving back and forth between these spots quite a bit. Chromepet is a loud place, full of movement. Our workshop on Ibrahim Salai stays pretty busy from Monday to Saturday. We don't really have a big office staff, it's mostly just us doing the physical work. You’ll see a lot of bikes parked outside our No.3 address most mornings. The building has been there for years and it shows its age, but it works for what we need. Inside, there's always a lot of chatter and the noise of machines or tools. We try to stay organized, but when you're busy, things get a bit messy. Little Mount is a different vibe, a bit more tucked away, but we keep the same rhythm there. We don't go in for flashy ads or anything like that. People find us because they know where we are or someone told them. It's just a regular day-to-day operation. We drink a lot of tea while we work. The floors are concrete and the walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but it's home to us. It gets hot in the afternoons, but we have some fans to keep the air moving.
