Excel Fruits & Vegetables

We’ve been here at Plot No-7 on 3rd Street in Puzhal for a while now. Most mornings start pretty early for us because the produce doesn’t wait. We spend a lot of time sorting through crates of greens and different fruits that come in. It’s a bit dusty sometimes, but that’s just how it goes when you’re dealing with stuff straight from the fields. Shivaraj is a quiet enough area, and we’ve gotten to know the folks around here pretty well over the years. We aren't a big fancy operation or anything like that. It’s just a few of us making sure things are moved from one place to another without too much trouble. Sometimes the trucks are late or the weather makes things difficult, but we manage to get through the day. People come by the shop, ask what's good today, and we tell them honestly. If the tomatoes look a bit bruised, we say so. There’s no point in pretending everything is perfect. We just try to keep the shelves stocked with what people in Puzhal need for their kitchens. It’s simple work, really. We pack things up, weigh them out, and try to keep the place organized, though it gets messy by noon when things are busy. That’s just the life of a vegetable business. We’re just here doing our bit on Shivaraj street every day except for the odd holiday.
