Essan Industries

We operate out of Ganapathy, over on Kasturibai Street in a spot called Kalkatti Thottam. The address is 9/6F if you are looking for the entrance. It’s an industrial part of town, so you’ll hear the sounds of machines and trucks throughout the day. Essan Industries has been in this location for a good while. The building isn't anything special to look at, just a sturdy place where we can get our work done without being disturbed. Most of our guys have been living around here their whole lives. We start the day early, usually when the sun is just coming up, to get a head start before it gets too hot. The floor is concrete and there are stacks of materials waiting to be processed near the back. It’s not the kind of place where you’d wear a suit and tie. We wear clothes that we don't mind getting a bit of grease or dust on. We have a small office area tucked in the corner where we keep the records and handle the paperwork. It’s mostly just us and the machinery. There isn't any fancy lobby or a person waiting to greet you at the door. You usually have to shout a bit to be heard over the noise if the machines are running. We just like to focus on the tasks at hand and make sure everything is sorted out by the time we close up for the evening.
