Edible Oil Services is right in the middle of the chaos at No.- 57/7, Thatha Muthiyappan Street. If you know Parrys, you know how tight these streets are and how many people are always moving around. We are quite close to the old Select Theater, which helps people find us when they get lost in the lanes. The smell of oil is pretty much part of the furniture here. Our shop is old, with high ceilings and walls that have seen years of business. It’s a busy spot where we handle all sorts of oil related requests every single day. There’s no room for fancy furniture because we need the space for the barrels and the paperwork. The laborers are always coming in and out, and the noise from the street never really stops until late at night. We’ve been here long enough that we know the other shopkeepers and the tea sellers on the corner. It’s a bit of a squeeze sometimes, especially when a big delivery arrives and blocks the narrow path. We don't try to look like a big company; we're just a local service doing what we've always done in this part of town. People come to us because they know where we are and that we’ve been here for years. It’s honest, sweaty work, but it’s what we know best.
