Dl Tech Toolings

Dl Tech Toolings is tucked away on Thandavarayan Street in the Gandhi Nagar area. We are located in Ekkattuthangal, which is a busy industrial pocket of the city where everyone is always working on something. Our address is 12/27, and we have been in this spot long enough that the neighboring shop owners all know us. The street is a bit narrow, so parking is always a bit of a headache for anyone visiting us, but we somehow make it work every day. Inside the shop, it is mostly the sound of machines and the smell of cut metal. We do toolings, so there is always something being measured, ground, or cut to size. It is certainly not a quiet environment to work in. My desk is right near the front entrance, so I can see everyone coming and going from the street. Sometimes the power goes out in this part of Ekkattuthangal, and we just have to sit and wait it out until the machines can run again. It is frustrating, but that is just how life is here. We don’t have a marketing team or anyone like that. It is just us doing the actual work and making sure the tools come out right. The floor is usually covered in small metal shavings by the end of the day, and we have to sweep it all up before we can head home. It keeps us busy from the early morning until late. (256 words)
