We’ve been at this spot on Rajabadar Street for a good while now. It’s right in the middle of the Pondi Bazar rush, so there’s always something happening outside the window. Most days it’s just us sitting around our desks trying to get the drawings right and making sure the layouts look okay before we send them out. T. Nagar is a busy place, and sometimes the noise from the street gets a bit loud, but we’re used to it by now. The office isn't anything fancy, just a place where we do our work and drink way too much tea during the afternoons. We started out small and stayed that way for a bit, just focusing on whatever project came through the door. It’s mostly about getting the measurements right and making sure the clients don’t have to call us back because something was off. We spend a lot of time on our computers, but we also spend a lot of time just talking through things to see what makes sense. There’s a lot of paperwork too, which nobody really likes but it has to get done anyway. Sometimes the power goes out or the internet acts up, but that’s just how things go around here. We just keep at it, day in and day out, making sure everything is ready by the time the weekend rolls around. It’s a decent life here in Chennai, even when the traffic is a mess.
