D. Wamadeo & Co. is based in Sai Plaza, which is at 33, Anna Salai in Saidapet. If you’re looking for us, the old number 18 is what some older maps show. Anna Salai is always a mess with the traffic and the construction, so getting to work takes a bit of time every morning. The office is on the first floor mostly. It’s a bit cramped with all the files and the desks, but we make it work. We’ve been around for quite some time now. Most of our day is spent handling orders and talking to people who come in. We don't have a big corporate setup. It’s just a regular local business where we know everyone by name. The tea shop downstairs is where we spend most of our breaks. Saidapet is a busy area, and being right on Anna Salai means there is never any peace and quiet. You can hear the buses and the horns all day long. We just get on with it. There’s no fancy lobby or air conditioning that works perfectly all the time. Sometimes the fans just push the hot air around. We handle a lot of the back-office stuff and client work that keeps things moving. It’s not a high-tech place, just some old computers and a lot of staplers. We like being here because it’s central and everyone knows where Sai Plaza is. It’s an honest living and we've been doing it for years now.
