Cricketers Inn is situated at No 6 and 7 on 9th South Cross Street in Neelankarai. We are tucked away just off from the Neelankarai Police Station, which is a good landmark because people always get lost looking for these numbered streets. Being in this part of Chennai is a bit different than being in the middle of the city. It’s a bit quieter, and you can sometimes feel the breeze coming off the coast if it’s a good day. We’ve been around for a while, providing a place for people to stay or gather. The building isn't anything super modern, but it’s clean and it works for what people need. We don't go in for all that fancy hotel talk you see in brochures. It’s just a simple spot where things are kept tidy and the staff knows how to handle the daily chores. We have a lot of regular people who know the way here. Sometimes the street gets a bit dusty when the wind picks up, or the rain makes things a bit messy, but that is just life in Neelankarai. We spend a lot of our time just maintaining the place and making sure everything is in order for whoever is coming through the doors next. It is a steady kind of job, and we like the neighborhood well enough. It feels more like a home than a business most of the time.
