Our office is Unit 13 in Block 2 of the SDF Building. We are located within the Madras Export Processing Zon, which everyone just calls MEPZ. It’s a large area and can be a bit confusing to navigate if you don't come here often. Covansys (india) Pvt. Ltd. takes up this specific unit, and it’s a standard office environment. We have rows of desks and a lot of computers. Since we are in the SDF Building, there are plenty of other companies around us too. You see people walking around with ID badges during lunch breaks or heading to the gate. The building itself is older, but it serves its purpose. We spend most of our day inside, so we don't see much of what's happening outside the zone. It’s a bit of a commute for some of us to get to this part of Madras, but we are used to it by now. The air conditioning is always running because it gets quite hot in the block. Sometimes the elevators are slow, so we just take the stairs. It’s a professional enough setting, but it feels lived-in. There are stacks of papers here and there, and the kitchen area usually smells like tea. We just come in, do our hours at Unit 13, and head home when the shift is over. It’s a quiet, steady kind of place to work for Covansys (india) Pvt. Ltd.
