Chellappa Fruits Private Limited

We are located right in the middle of the Anna fruit market at Shop No T/A 136. If you have ever been to Chennai around the 600092 zip code, you know how busy it gets. Chellappa Fruits has been our daily life for a long time. The market is loud and crowded, especially in the early hours of the morning when the trucks come in. We spend a lot of time unloading crates and sorting through what arrived. It’s a lot of physical work, lifting boxes and making sure everything looks okay on the shelves. Sometimes the heat in Chennai makes things tough, but we just keep the fans running and stay busy. Our shop isn't very large, but we make the most of the space we have. You can find us there most days from before dawn until the sun starts to set. We don't really do much advertising or anything fancy like that. Most people just know us because we’ve been at this spot for years. Dealing with fruit means things change every season, so we are always adjusting what we have in stock. It’s a simple business. We buy things, we set them out, and we talk to the people who stop by. There is always a lot of chatter in the market, and we are just one part of that big mess. Our hands are usually sticky by the end of the day, but that is just part of the trade.
