Calis Food Products

Calis Food Products is based at 41, 1St Avenue. We are in Valmiki Nagar, which is part of the larger Thiruvanmiyur area. Thiruvalluvar Nagar is just around the corner from us too. It’s a nice part of town with a lot of houses and small shops. Our place is on 1St Avenue and it’s pretty easy to spot if you’re looking. We make food products right here. The kitchen area is where most of the work happens every day. It’s always smelling like something is being cooked or packed up for delivery. We have a small crew of people who help out with everything. Most of us have been working together for a long time. We don't have a big marketing budget or any fancy packaging for our stuff. We just focus on making things that taste good for our customers. Thiruvanmiyur is a great place to be located for a business like ours. There’s a good sense of community in this neighborhood. We see the same faces every day walking past the window. Our building isn't brand new or shiny. It has some character and a few squeaky doors that we never bother to fix. We don't mind that at all. It feels like home to us. We handle everything from sourcing ingredients to packing the final boxes. It’s a lot of work but we enjoy the process. We don't use any corporate buzzwords. We just talk about food and how to make it right.
