California Software Co. Ltd.

You can find us over at Elnet Software City in Taramani. We are on the first floor. It is funny because the name is California Software Co. Ltd. but we are clearly right here in the heat of Chennai. The building is quite big and there are lots of other companies around. It feels a bit like a maze sometimes when you are first trying to find the right corridor. We have a lot of computers and the air conditioning is usually running full blast which is a relief from the weather outside. The elevators are sometimes slow in the morning when everyone is trying to get to their desks at the same time. We spend most of the day staring at screens. It is quiet for the most part, just the sound of typing and the occasional phone ringing. We have a canteen downstairs where we usually go for a quick bite. The coffee there isn't great but it wakes you up. Taramani is a busy hub for tech stuff so there are always people walking around with ID cards around their necks. Our office isn't overly decorated. We have some whiteboards with scribbles on them and a few half-dead plants near the window. It is just a place where we write code and try to solve problems before the weekend starts. It’s a good enough spot for us and the commute isn't too bad if you leave early.
