We are located on the 1st floor at Old No. 142, which is now New No. 180 on Broadway. Broadway is a very crowded street and the building is quite old. You have to walk up a narrow set of stairs to reach us. Once you are inside, you will see tools of all shapes and sizes stacked up to the ceiling. We have been here for a long time, and the floorboards sometimes creak when you walk over them. It is a very traditional setup. We don't have air conditioning, just some old ceiling fans that hum all day. We spend most of our time looking through ledgers and helping customers who come in looking for specific hardware. Broadway has a lot of history, and we feel like a small part of it. The noise from the street never really stops, but you get used to it after a few years. We don't have a big sign outside, just a small one by the door. Most people find us because their fathers or grandfathers used to buy from us. We keep things simple here. We write out the bills by hand most of the time. It is a bit slow-paced compared to the modern shops, but we like it that way. We just keep doing what we know. The sunlight hits the front windows really hard in the afternoons.
