Being on the third floor means we get a little bit of exercise every day because the stairs can be quite a lot when you are carrying boxes. Broadway is a very crowded part of the city, and parking is almost always a nightmare around here. Our space is more of a working office and a storage room than a shiny showroom. We have bulbs and light fixtures tucked away in every corner. It gets a bit dusty sometimes, but that is just how it goes when you are dealing with a lot of stock in an old building. We are a small team and we do not spend money on big advertisements or fancy signs. Most of the people who buy from us have been doing so for years or heard about us from a friend. We spend our time checking the lights and making sure the orders are packed correctly so nothing breaks. The noise from the street downstairs is constant, but you eventually stop noticing it after a few months. We like being in this part of town because it feels like the heart of the market. It is not always quiet or organized, but we get the work done and we stay busy. We just focus on selling lights and staying on top of our daily chores without making a big fuss about it.
