Our office is at number 6 on Muthulakshmi Street. It’s over in the Indira Nagar part of Valasaravakkam. If you know the area, it's pretty easy to find. We’ve been operating out of Chennai for quite some time, focusing on the lifts and escalators that people use every day. Most of our work happens on-site at apartment buildings or small shops. We don't spend a lot of time sitting at desks. The crew is usually out with their toolkits. We deal with all the usual problems like stuck doors, noisy motors, and buttons that don’t light up. It’s a lot of troubleshooting. Sometimes you find the problem in five minutes and other times it takes all afternoon to figure out what’s wrong with the wiring. We try to keep a decent stock of common parts at the Valasaravakkam location so we don't have to wait. It’s a practical business. We aren't big on marketing or making big promises. We just show up and do the mechanical work. The weather in Tamil Nadu can make working in those small machine rooms pretty hot, but we’re used to it. We just keep plugging away, one job after another, making sure the gears are greased and the cables are tight. The neighbors here are nice and it's a relatively quiet street compared to the main roads. We mostly use the office for storing ladders and heavier equipment that we don't want to leave in the trucks overnight.
