Anwarhuq

Anwarhuq is located over at New No:9 G.A.A.Khan, 2nd Street. This is in the Thousand Light area of Chennai, right on Crems Road. If you’ve spent any time in Chennai, you know this part of town has a lot of history and it’s always crowded. Our place is tucked away on the second street, so it’s slightly away from the loudest parts of the main road, but you still hear the bikes and the horns all day long. The building is an older one. It has that specific smell of old concrete and maybe a bit of sea air when the wind blows right. We have a couple of rooms where we sit and work. It isn't anything fancy to look at. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but they’ve been like that for a while and it doesn’t stop us from getting work done. We drink a lot of coffee here because that’s just what you do in Chennai. Sometimes the power goes out for a bit, so we just sit and wait or talk until it comes back on. It’s a simple setup. People around here know us by name. We don’t really do much advertising or anything like that. Most folks just know we are here at number nine. It’s a practical way to run things. We’ve been at this address for a good stretch of time and we’ve seen the street change quite a bit.
