Ambica Empire

Our place is at number 79 on the 100 Feet Road in Vadapalani. This part of Chennai is always moving, especially with the metro nearby and all the film studios and shops around here. We have a big building that people use for all sorts of things, from staying over for work to having family lunches. The lobby is often full of people waiting for someone or just sitting in the air conditioning to get out of the humidity. We have a lot of rooms to take care of, so the housekeeping staff is always on the move with their carts. The restaurant gets quite a crowd during the afternoon because of the offices nearby. We try to keep things simple and efficient. You can hear the traffic from the 100 Feet Road all day long, it never really stops. We spend a lot of time on maintenance because an old building like this always needs something fixed or painted. The staff mostly comes in by bus or train since we are so close to the main transport links. We don't pretend to be anything we aren't; we are just a busy hotel in a busy part of the city. We keep the water cold and the rooms ready for whoever walks through the door next. It's a lot of routine, but it keeps the place running.
