Ip Rings Ltd

Our workshop is situated at D 11/12 in the industrial estate over in Maraimalai Nagar. If you are familiar with the Kanchipuram district, you know this area is full of factories and sheds. We make rings here. It is a lot of metalwork and running machines for hours on end. The floor is usually a bit oily and there is always the smell of hot steel in the air. We have a small team of guys who know how to handle the equipment. It is not the kind of place where you wear a suit. Most of us are in grease-stained shirts by noon. We start the shifts early to beat the worst of the afternoon heat, but it still gets pretty stuffy inside the shed. We have a little corner with a desk where we keep the delivery notes and some old files. It is nothing fancy, just a place to sit for a minute. The trucks come in through the main gates of the estate and find their way to our door to pick up the crates. We have been doing this for a while now and we know the routine well. Sometimes the machines act up and we have to spend half a day fixing them instead of working on the rings. That is just how it goes in a place like this. We just keep our heads down and get the work done. It is hard work, but it pays the bills and keeps the guys employed.
