India Pistons Pins & Liners Ltd

We are out in the A1-C Industrial Area in Maraimalar Nagar, which is part of Kancheepuram district. It is a long way from the main city, and the landscape is mostly just large factories and wide roads with trucks parked along the sides. At India Pistons Pins & Liners Ltd, the building is a big industrial shed that gets quite hot in the Tamil Nadu sun. We have some trees planted near the entrance to try and get some shade, but they are still small. Inside, it is all about the machinery and the production lines. The floor is hard concrete, and there is a constant hum of the ventilation system. It is a very functional place. We have a small office area at the front with some old desks and filing cabinets where we keep the logs. Most of us get here early in the morning before the heat really sets in. The surrounding area is pretty quiet during the work hours, except for the occasional sound of a heavy vehicle moving through the gates. We eat our lunch in a small break room that has a couple of benches. It is the kind of place where you just focus on the job and wait for the evening breeze. The air smells a bit like metal and machine oil, which is pretty standard for this part of the world. We just keep things moving and follow the daily schedule.
