We are located out in Oragadam, which is a pretty industrial part of the region. At Cosma International India, we spend our days on the floor or in the office handling the manufacturing side of things. Oragadam is always growing and there are factories everywhere you look. Our place is just one of many, but we focus on what we have to do. It gets hot during the day and the noise from the machines is something you just get used to after a while. We have a lot of people working here, coming in for different shifts. It’s not a glamorous job but it is steady work. We deal with various parts and technical stuff that goes into bigger machines or vehicles. Most of us live nearby or commute from the city. The lunchroom is where we all catch up during breaks. We don't really have a public showroom since we mostly deal with other businesses. If you come to Oragadam, you’ll see the scale of the operations here. It’s a busy environment with trucks coming and going all the time. We just try to keep things running efficiently and meet our daily targets. The management is around, but mostly it’s the workers on the floor making things happen. It is just a regular industrial setup where we put in our hours and go home. Sometimes the machines break down and we have to fix them fast to keep the line moving.
