Ultra Tech Cement Ltd.

We have been working out here at C- 12 in the Awarpur Cement Works for quite some time now. It is a busy spot in Awarpur where the days start early, usually before the heat really kicks in for the afternoon. You can see the dust settling on the vehicles if they sit too long near the gates. Most people know us as Ultra Tech Cement Ltd., but around the plant, we just focus on the daily grind. There is a lot of heavy lifting involved and we spend most of our hours moving bags and watching the trucks line up. The roads around this part of Awarpur get pretty rough, especially when the rains start coming down hard. We spend a lot of time checking the machinery to make sure nothing stops unexpectedly. It is not fancy work, but it keeps us busy from Monday to Saturday. Lunch is usually a quick affair, maybe some tea from a nearby stall while we wait for the next transport. We see the same faces every day, mostly neighbors and drivers who have been coming here for years. The plant is a huge part of the local landscape. Some of the guys have worked here since they were young men. We do not spend much time talking about big goals or visions, we just make sure the loaders are ready and the gates stay open for the schedule. It is just life at the works.
