Vishavkarma Engg Works

Our shop, Vishavkarma Engg Works, is over in Industrial Area Phase Ix on N.G. Acharya Marg 620, right near Baba White House. It’s a loud place with the sound of grinding metal and welding machines going most of the day. We do a lot of small engineering jobs, like fixing parts for machines or making metal frames for local businesses. The floor is usually covered in iron filings and oil, and there's a permanent smell of burnt metal in the air. I’ve worked with my hands my whole life, so this feels normal to me. We have some old lathes and drills that have been with us since the beginning. They aren't the newest models, but they still work fine if you know how to handle them. Sometimes we get a tricky job that takes much longer than we thought, and we end up staying late until the sun goes down. We don't have an office staff, so if you call, you'll probably hear the machines running in the background. It’s just a group of us who like making things. We get some regular contractors who bring us work every week. We don't have a website or any of that, we just rely on people knowing where we are. It’s hard, honest work and we're okay with that. Most of the time it is just about getting the measurements right and making sure the welds are solid enough to hold. It’s hot in the summer but we keep the big doors open.
