Vishal Mega Mart

Being near the City Fountain in Kalol is a busy experience. We’re at 104/105, so it’s a fairly large space compared to some of the smaller stalls around Gandhinagar. Sector 22 always has something going on. Since we are Vishal Mega Mart, people expect us to have a bit of everything, and we usually do. It takes a lot of effort to keep the floors clean with so many people walking in and out all day. The staff stays busy moving boxes and helping people find what they need. It’s loud, sometimes the music playing is a bit much, but you get used to it. On weekends, it gets really packed. The fountain nearby is a good landmark, so nobody really gets lost looking for us. We’ve got rows and rows of stuff, and sometimes even I forget where we put things. We just try to keep the lines moving. It’s a lot of work running a place this size in Kalol. We don't have time for fancy talk. We just focus on getting the crates unpacked and the shelves filled up again. The air conditioning works most of the time, which is a relief in the heat. It’s a big, practical operation here in Sector 22. We just keep at it, day in and day out, making sure the doors are open on time. It's a bit hectic but we wouldn't have it any other way.
