Gay Time Collection

Walking into Gay Time Collection at number 1086 in Sector 22, you’ll usually see me or one of the guys moving boxes around. It’s a bit crowded in here because we try to keep a lot on hand. We’ve been in this part of Sector 22 for quite a few years now. It’s a decent area, though parking can be a real headache in the afternoons. I remember when we first got the keys to 1086, the place was empty and smelled like dust. Now, it’s full of life and stuff everywhere. We don’t really do anything special, just keep the doors open and try to be helpful when someone asks a question. Sometimes the inventory takes longer to arrive than we’d like, and we have to tell people to come back Tuesday. That’s just how it goes sometimes. We have a small tea stall just a few steps away, so there’s usually a cup of chai sitting on the counter somewhere. It’s a simple way to spend the day. We aren't trying to be the biggest place in town, just a steady one. Most of our regulars live just a few blocks away, so we see the same faces all the time. It feels good when someone remembers your name. We just keep things moving, one day after another, making sure the shelves aren't empty and the lights are on. It’s hard work but it is our work.
