Laxman Shop

Laxman Shop is right here in Purushottam Nagar, pretty much next to the Neelam Theater on BPC Road. We’ve been at this spot, occupying units 89, 90, and 91, for a good chunk of time now. Alkapuri is a busy part of Vadodara, and being in Sector 17 means there is always something going on outside our doors. It gets pretty loud with the traffic sometimes, but you get used to it after a few years. Most days start early for us. We roll up the shutters and start moving things around to get ready. It isn't a fancy place by any means. There are plenty of boxes piled up, and sometimes it feels a bit cramped when several people come in at once. We know most of the people who walk by or stop in for a quick chat. It’s just how things go in this neighborhood. The theater nearby brings in some crowds in the evenings, which makes the street feel alive. We aren't trying to be the biggest shop in the city or anything. We just focus on keeping the place running and making sure we have what people are looking for when they stop by. Some days are slower than others, especially when the weather is too hot to be out. We mostly just drink our tea and wait for the next person to walk through the door. It’s a simple life here in Vadodara.
