J J Collections

Down by the Chandigarh G.P.O at number 86, that’s where J J Collections is. It’s an old building, so it has a bit of character, though the stairs can be a bit creaky. Being near the post office means we see a lot of foot traffic every single day. People are always rushing to mail things, and sometimes they pop in here just to see what we have on the racks. We’ve been running this place for years, and the inventory has changed a lot, but the way we do things hasn't. We don't use any high-tech systems; it's mostly just notebooks and pens for us. It works fine and we never lose our data that way. The lighting in the back is a little dim, but we know where everything is by heart now. My wife helps out with the displays when she has time, and she has a better eye for it than I do. We have some customers who have been coming to us since we first opened our doors at number 86. It’s nice to see their kids growing up and coming in on their own now. We don't do much advertising; word of mouth has always been enough for us. We just focus on keeping the shop tidy and being here when we say we will. It’s a quiet kind of business, and that suits us just fine. We just take it one customer at a time.
