Our place is tucked away in Sector 22 C, right behind the Nukkar Dhaba. If you can find the dhaba, you have basically found us. Being located there means we always have the smell of dal and rotis wafting through the back windows, which can make you quite hungry during the evening sessions. Sector 22 is one of the oldest parts of Chandigarh and it has a very specific feel to it. Our tuition center is quite small and intimate. We don't have dozens of rooms, just a couple of spaces where we fit in as many benches as we comfortably can. It’s a bit of a squeeze when everyone arrives at once. Most of our students live in the houses nearby, so they just walk or cycle over. We have a lot of notebooks piled up on the main table and a whiteboard that always has some notes left over from the previous class. It’s a bit messy sometimes but that’s just how it goes when you are busy teaching all day. We’ve been here for years and the neighborhood kids have grown up coming to this spot. It’s a very local, family-style operation. We don’t have any receptionists or formal uniforms. It’s just us and the students working through their school subjects. When the rain starts, you can hear it hitting the roof quite loudly, but it’s a cozy place to be when you are trying to study.
