Ck Kalra Mathematics Classes is situated over by the Aerodrome. It’s a bit of an unusual spot for a school, but it works for us. You can often hear the planes taking off or landing while we are in the middle of a lesson. It’s a simple setup with rows of desks and a big board at the front that usually has a lot of numbers and equations scribbled on it. The room can get a bit stuffy when it’s full of students, so we always keep the windows open as much as we can. I’ve been teaching math here for a long time, and the walls are covered in old posters and notes from past years. It isn’t a high-tech classroom with computers everywhere; it’s more about the paper, the pens, and the practice. Students come in after their regular school hours, looking a bit tired but ready to work through some problems. I spend a lot of time walking between the desks, checking their work and pointing out mistakes. Sometimes the chalk dust gets everywhere, and my hands are always covered in it by the end of the day. It’s a quiet life in a way, just focusing on the logic of the numbers. The area around the Aerodrome is mostly open, which gives us a bit of peace away from the main city traffic. We just keep things focused on the learning.
