Turban Store

Our shop is called the Turban Store, but the building is known as Nurag Turban House. We are located in the LIC Colony in Kharar, which is part of SAS Nagar. It’s a quiet enough neighborhood compared to the city center. We spend our days surrounded by different fabrics and colors. Tying a turban is an art, but selling them is just regular work. We have shelves reaching up to the ceiling filled with cloth. Sometimes the dust gets to us, so we have to clean quite often. We have a few mirrors set up so people can see how the fabric looks against their skin. It’s a small family-run kind of place. We don't have a big marketing plan or a fancy logo. People just know we’re here in LIC Colony. We chat with the locals who stop by, and sometimes we share a cup of tea. The shop has a specific smell of fresh fabric. We try to keep a good variety of shades in stock. It can be hard to match certain colors, so we spend time looking for the right rolls. We don't have any corporate hierarchy. My brother and I just handle the sales and the stocking. It’s a humble business and we like it that way. We’ve been here for years and hope to stay. The neighborhood is changing but we just keep doing what we've always done.
