The Rhymers Band

We are a group of musicians based in Sector 17, Chandigarh. It’s a central spot, right near Sector 22. We’ve been playing together as The Rhymers Band for a while now. Most of our time is spent practicing or lugging our equipment from one venue to another. Being in Sector 17 means we are right in the heart of things. We aren't some over-produced commercial act. We just like playing instruments and singing songs people know. Sometimes we play at small cafes, other times at private parties or local events. Our rehearsal space is usually cluttered with cables, drum sticks, and half-empty water bottles. We don't have a manager or a big team; we just handle everything ourselves. If a string breaks or an amp fails, we fix it and keep going. We grew up around here, so Chandigarh feels like home for our music. It’s not always easy, especially when we have to travel with all the heavy gear, but we enjoy the live atmosphere. You can often find us grabbing a coffee nearby before a gig. We don't use a lot of fancy effects, just raw sound and whatever the room gives us. People seem to appreciate that we don't sound like a recording. We just play what we feel and hope the crowd enjoys the night with us. It’s just us four guys trying to keep the music going. Sometimes the van breaks down on the way, but we always find a way.
