Sunil Tea Stall

Sunil Tea Stall is tucked away in Sector 38 Prabhat Road, Bhonde Colony. It is not a big place. We have a small stove and a big kettle that is almost always boiling. People from the offices nearby and the local residents come here to grab a cup of tea. We also have some biscuits and snacks in glass jars on the shelf. The jars are old and the lids are a bit rusty, but they do the job. We have a few wooden benches outside under the shade of a tree. It’s a good spot for people to sit and chat for a bit. Bhonde Colony is a nice area, mostly quiet except for the morning traffic. We start boiling the first pot of tea around six in the morning. The ginger gets crushed on a stone every time someone asks for masala tea. You can hear the sound of the spoon hitting the glass. We don't have a menu. Everyone knows what we have. Sometimes we run out of milk if the delivery is late, and then we just serve black tea. The walls are covered with some old calendars. We've been at this spot in Sector 38 for a long time. The regulars don't even have to say what they want; we already know. It’s just a small business and we keep it simple. We stay open until the tea runs out.
