Standard Electronics

Standard Electronics has been running out of Sector 22 for a good number of years now. You can find us at Nikka Tube 1049. It is a very straightforward shop without any extra fluff. We deal with all kinds of electronic parts and small repairs. The shelves are packed with little boxes of components that probably only make sense to us. There is almost always a smell of hot solder in the air and a small radio playing in the corner to keep us company. We do not have a huge amount of space in here, but we make it work by keeping things organized in our own way. Most of the people who walk through the door are locals who have been coming to us since they were young. They bring in old televisions, radios, or small kitchen appliances that just stopped working one day. We spend the day testing different circuits and looking for fuses that have blown. It is a quiet kind of work, but it keeps our hands busy. Sometimes we have to wait a week or two for a specific part to come in the mail, and we just have to tell the customer to be patient. We are not a big chain store; we are just a local business trying to help people keep their electronics running. The floor is a little uneven and the lighting is not the best, but it feels like home.
