Shimla Traders

Shimla Traders is situated right on the main road in Sector 22, at numbers 1026-27. Being on a main road means it is never truly quiet at the shop. You can always hear the sound of car horns and the rumble of buses passing by. Our shop is actually two units that we joined together to have more space for stock. We sell a variety of general household items and things that people need for their daily chores. I usually start my morning by wiping down the front windows because the road dust builds up so fast. I have been at this location for a long time now. You get to know the people who walk past every morning on their way to work. We have shelves that go all the way up to the ceiling and they are packed with goods. It gets a bit cramped in the aisles, especially when a new shipment arrives and the boxes are sitting on the floor waiting to be unpacked. I try to help everyone as quickly as I can, but when it gets crowded, people just have to wait their turn. My son comes in to help me on the weekends when he doesn't have classes. Sector 22 is a very busy part of the city so we see all sorts of people. By the time evening comes and I pull the shutters down, I am usually quite tired.
