S S Dhillon Tour & Travels is situated right near the local bus stand in Sector 17. It’s a very busy spot with people rushing to catch their buses all day long. We started this because we saw how many people needed a more private way to travel once they reached the city. Our office is just a simple place where we manage our fleet. Most of the day is spent on the mobile phone, coordinating between the drivers and the customers. It gets pretty loud outside with the bus horns, but you stop noticing it after a while. We have a small bench outside the door where the drivers sit and chat while waiting for their turn. We try to keep the cars in decent shape, but the roads can be rough on them. We handle everything from short trips across the city to longer journeys out to the mountains. It’s a lot of responsibility making sure everyone stays on schedule. Sometimes the rain messes up our plans and we have to call everyone to reschedule. We don't have any fancy brochures. People usually find us by word of mouth or by just seeing our sign near the bus stand. It’s a straightforward business and we just try to keep things running as smoothly as we can. We've been here for years and we know the rhythms of the bus stand by heart now. It’s just us doing our daily work.
