Ram Rahim Tomato Company is located in SCO-77 on Madhya Marg, specifically on the second floor. Being on MDM Road means we are right in the thick of things. Since we deal with tomatoes, our days start very early, often while most people are still asleep. The second floor might seem like an odd place for a tomato company, but we manage it just fine. There is a lot of shouting and moving of crates in the early hours. It is a very busy trade, and things move fast because the produce doesn’t stay fresh forever. The office is pretty basic, just a few chairs and some ledgers where we keep track of the day's sales and what is coming in from the farms. It can get quite dusty and loud with the trucks outside. We don’t really do any fancy marketing; most of our business comes from people who have known us for years in the market. It’s a tough business sometimes, especially when the weather isn't good or the prices are all over the place. But we have been doing it for a while and we just keep at it. There’s no big corporate structure here, just a group of us trying to get the tomatoes out to the buyers. It’s a lot of heavy lifting and long hours, but we like the pace.
