Rakshit Coolers

Rakshit Coolers is located in Industrial Area Phase II, specifically in Village Rajoda at number 771. When the summer starts hitting hard, this place gets incredibly busy. We make and sell those big metal coolers that people put in their windows. The sound of metal being cut and riveted is what you’ll hear all day long. Village Rajoda is a bit of a trek for some, but once you get to 771, you can see all the cooler frames lined up outside. We use a lot of straw and water pumps and heavy-duty fans. My hands are usually covered in small nicks from the sharp edges of the tin sheets. We don't have any air conditioning in the workshop because it wouldn't make sense with the doors open all the time. It’s hot and sweaty work, especially in May and June. We've been at this location for several seasons now. The neighbors know us well. We don't have a website or anything like that. People just see the coolers from the road and pull over. Sometimes we have a backlog of orders and people have to wait a few days, but we try to work as fast as the machines allow. It’s a seasonal life, really. In the winter, we do more repair work or stock up for the next year. It’s just us and the metal here at Rajoda, trying to stay cool.
