Om Telecom

Om Telecom is our shop over in Hallomajra. It is a very busy and crowded neighborhood, so there is always a lot of noise and movement outside our door. We mostly deal with SIM cards, mobile recharges, and helping people figure out their phone settings. The shop itself is quite narrow and long. If more than three people come inside at the same time, it starts to feel very crowded. We have a display on one wall with various phone covers, though some of them have been sitting there for quite a while. The floor is just simple grey cement. Our sign is just a hand-painted board above the entrance. Most of the people who come in are locals who live just a few streets away. We recognize almost everyone who walks through the door. My cousin spends most of his day sitting at the small desk in the back. We keep a tiny television on a shelf to stay updated on the news. Sometimes the electricity goes off in the middle of the day, so we keep a battery light ready to go. It is a simple way of living and we don't have any fancy websites or advertisements. People just walk in when they need something for their mobile. We spend a lot of time wiping down the glass counters because they get covered in fingerprints easily. It can get dusty from all the traffic, but we just keep things as clean as we can.
