Nidhi Ayer

You can find us at 218 Sector 17 at the District Court. It is a busy place to be, with people walking up and down the halls all day long. Nidhi Ayer's space is usually filled with files and folders that we try to keep organized on the shelves. There is always the sound of people talking in the corridors and the distant hum of the city outside. The room 218 is not very big, but it fits what we need. We have a couple of computers that have been running for years and a printer that sometimes makes a funny clicking noise. Working near the court means there is always a sense of urgency, though we try to stay calm and just handle one thing at a time. The light in the afternoon comes through the window at an angle that hits the desk right in the eyes, so we usually have to pull the blinds halfway down. Most of our day is spent reading through documents and answering questions for people who drop by. It’s a lot of sitting and focused work, so we make sure to walk out and get some fresh air whenever there is a gap in the schedule. Sector 17 is the heart of the city, so there is always something going on just outside the door. We’ve been here long enough that we know most of the people in the neighboring offices and the chai person downstairs.
