New Indian Travels

We are based out of Sco 87-88 in Sector 34A. It's just a small cabin here, number 1A to be exact. People come in looking for rides or wanting to plan a trip out of Chandigarh. We spend a lot of time on the phone, checking where the drivers are and if the cars are clean. It gets busy in the mornings when everyone wants to leave at once. Sometimes the traffic near the sector is a bit much, but we manage. My cousin helped me set this up a few years back. We aren't doing anything fancy, just making sure people get from one place to another without too much trouble. We know the roads around Punjab and Haryana pretty well by now. If a car has a flat tire, we have to scramble to find a backup. That’s just how it goes in this business. Most days are okay, some are stressful when the weather is bad. We keep a diary of all the bookings on the desk. It’s a bit messy but it works for us. We drink a lot of tea while waiting for the next call. It's a simple life running a travel desk in Chandigarh. We’ve seen the city change quite a bit from this little cabin. It's not a huge office with lots of staff, just a couple of us making sure things move along. The walls need a new coat of paint, but we haven't found the time yet. We just keep our heads down and work.
