MTS Stores

MTS Stores is right in the middle of Sector 22 at SCO-1016/17. It’s a typical retail spot for this area. The shelves are packed pretty tight with all kinds of items, and we are always trying to find more room for new stuff. We spend a lot of time unpacking crates and making sure everything has a price tag on it. It’s a lot of standing around on hard floors, so we all wear comfortable shoes. The shoppers come and go all day, especially in the evenings when the sector gets more crowded. We have a routine where we restock the front displays first thing in the morning before it gets too busy. Sometimes the air conditioning struggles a bit when the door is constantly opening and closing, but we manage. We don't have any big corporate manuals; we just learn where everything goes by doing it every day. If someone asks for something we don't have, we usually tell them which shop down the street might carry it. It’s a friendly enough atmosphere, though we can get a bit tired when it’s a holiday rush. The register area is a bit cramped and there are always piles of shopping bags tucked underneath. We’ve had the same neighbors for years, so we often chat with the folks from the nearby stores during our breaks. It’s just a regular local shop doing its thing in the sector.
