Ms The Plywood World

If you head down Gendi Gate Road in Vadodara, you’ll find us over in Sector 29 D. The Plywood World is basically just what it sounds like. We have stacks of wood and sheets all over the place. It smells like sawdust most of the time, which is something you just get used to after a week. The floors are rarely completely clean because we are always moving things around. We don't have a fancy showroom with lights and carpets. It’s more of a warehouse feel where people come to pick out what they need for their projects. We’ve got different types of plywood leaning against the walls. Some are thick, some are thin. Our address at number 209 is easy enough to spot if you’re looking for the big gates. The sun hits the front of the shop pretty hard in the morning. We spend a lot of time checking inventory and making sure things aren't getting warped by the humidity. It’s hard work and our hands usually have a few splinters by the end of the day. It’s just a local business trying to keep things moving. We don't use a lot of technology, mostly just some notebooks and a basic calculator to figure out the prices. It’s a bit old-fashioned but that’s how we like it. We focus on the wood and the customers.
