We run our classes from House No 227 in Milk Colony Dhanas. It is a quiet residential spot in Village Dhanas, Chandigarh. If you find the local Gurudwara, you are basically there because we are very close to it. This isn't a commercial building at all, just our home where we have set aside some space for teaching. Because it is a house, it feels a lot more relaxed than a typical school. We started doing this because there weren't many options for extra help right here in Dhanas. The kids usually just walk over from the nearby streets. We have a big table where everyone sits together, which sometimes leads to a bit of talking, but we keep them focused on their books. The neighborhood is generally peaceful, though you might hear some cows or the sounds of the village during the lessons. We don't have a big team or any corporate branding. It’s just us helping out the local kids with their math, science, and whatever else they are struggling with. We don't make any big promises about top ranks or anything like that. We just want the students to understand their lessons and not feel overwhelmed. Often, we’ll have a glass of water or tea while we work. It is a very simple way of doing things. We’ve lived in this house for a long time, so we know most of the families whose children come here for help every day after school.
