The shop is located at 1337 44- B in Sector 44, Navrangpura. We have been here for a long time, focusing on Mohini Stitching Art Of Ladies Under Garments. It is a small place, mostly filled with sewing machines and rolls of cotton fabric. The noise of the needles going up and down is something you get used to after a few days. We do a lot of custom work because every person is built differently and the stuff you buy in the big stores doesn't always fit right. It is mostly me and two other women working here. We spend the whole day measuring, cutting, and sewing. There are pieces of thread all over the floor by the time we close at night. We don't have a big sign or anything flashy. People mostly find us because their mothers or sisters told them we do a decent job. The light in the back of the shop is a bit dim, so we do the fine work near the front window where the sun comes in. Navrangpura is a busy area but our little corner in Sector 44 stays relatively calm. We keep a ledger for all the orders and sometimes it gets a bit messy with all the notes scribbled in the margins. It is hard work on the fingers but it is what we know how to do. We don't use fancy patterns, just the ones that have worked for years. If a customer is happy with the fit, they usually come back next season. That is how it goes.
