Mohabbat Musical Group (Regd)

We are based in Kharar on Arya College Road near the Bansan Wali Chungi. It’s a lively spot and being a registered group we take our music quite seriously even if our office is just a plain room where we keep the instruments. We serve the Mohali area mostly but we often drive out to Chandigarh for various events. The drive can be long when the roads are busy but we don't mind it. We have singers and players who have been with us for a long time. There is always the sound of someone tuning a harmonium or practicing a rhythm when you walk in. We aren't a big corporate entity with a board of directors. We are just a bunch of people who love traditional music and making sure people have a good time at their celebrations. Sometimes we practice late into the evening and I hope the neighbors don't mind the noise too much. The shop is full of wires and speakers and old diaries where we keep track of our dates. We don't use much technology for our bookings. Most of it is just people calling us up because they heard us play at a relative's house. It’s a simple way of living and we like being part of the local culture in Kharar. We just show up with our instruments and do our best to play the songs people want to hear. Music is just what we do every day.
