Burail is a busy area and that’s where you’ll find us at 331, Sector 45. It’s always noisy outside with people moving around and vehicles honking. Masters Choice Uniforms is basically just a workshop full of sewing machines and rolls of cloth. We spend most of our time making sure the stitching is straight on school and work clothes. It’s a lot of repetitive work, to be honest. You sit down in the morning and by the time you look up, it’s already dark outside. The light in the back of the shop flickers sometimes but we haven't got around to fixing it yet. We aren't some big corporate office with people in suits. Most of us are wearing old t-shirts covered in loose threads. The floor is usually covered in scraps of navy blue and white fabric because that’s what we use the most. We drink a lot of tea to stay awake during the busy season when schools are opening back up. It’s a bit cramped in here with all the boxes stacked up to the ceiling, but we know where everything is. If someone asks for a specific size, we can usually find it in a few minutes even if it looks like a mess. That’s just how we operate in this part of Chandigarh. We get the job done without much fuss or bother.
